Well, here's some news! Mrs. Nancy and I walked in to visit Frieda and there she was! EYES OPEN...kind of looking around.
She is able to answer what we ask by squeezing our hands, and she is looking on command at who was talking to her.
Gray came in and Frieda looked at him, squeezed his hand to answer his questions. "Young Nancy" came in and Frieda was still
looking around. This is such a wonderful sight. She does know us. She is able to squeeze pretty hard on the right side. Gray and Mrs. Nancy were out talking to the nurse and she was "looking around with her hand" for someone to hold, so I went back in and took her hand. She squeezed very hard and looked right at me.
Her oxygen is being decreased, and she is off the sedative.
COME ON FREIDA! Keep up the good work!! You can do this!
Thanks as always for all the emails, thoughts, prayers and messages. They are being conveyed to Frieda and she needs to hear all these well wishes right now.
Please continue to pray. This is a great beginning, yet we know there's a long way to go. As we all know, if anyone can do it, Frieda can and she will!
I'll update more when we go in again.
